
Sean Buckley is one of the firm's founding partners. He is a graduate of
the University of Texas School of Law and Auburn University. Buckley
focuses his practice on State and Federal criminal defense, including trial,
appeal, and habeas corpus. He currently maintains a diverse caseload that
includes State and Federal white collar cases, drug trafficking cases, and
several post-conviction "actual innocence" cases. In 2004, Buckley received
worldwide press attention after exonerating John Michael Harvey, a Fort
Worth man who spent 13 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He
has also successfully represented the alleged leader of the largest Ecstacy
distribution ring in the history of the United States D.E.A., and
participated in New York Millionaire Robert Durst's successful lawsuit
against the State of Texas. Buckley has served on the Board of Directors
and the Executive Board of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association
(HCCLA), and is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association
(TCDLA) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
He is an Eagle Scout, a recipient of the Texas House of Representatives
